Walk for Homelessness Savannah – Presents: 3rd Annual Walk for Homelessness

3rd Annual Walk for Homelessness
Walk for Homelessness Savannah is excited to present the 3rd Annual Walk for Homelessness in the Coastal Empire on Saturday, April 11th at 11:00am at Lake Mayer Community Park. This event is planned to raise awareness for Homelessness in Savannah-Chatham County and abroad. The purpose is also to raise funds to benefit a local effort to end homelessness in Savannah. The money raised from ticket sales will be benefiting Chatham Savannah Homeless Authority’s “Tiny House Project,” so we can help end homelessness in Savannah.
“Walk for Homelessness 2020” will be a 5K that will take place on the day of the event after the beginning ceremony takes place. The tickets for the Walk are $15 and there is also an "Open Donation" ticket for those who want to simply donate to the cause. Any amount, big or small, will be greatly appreciated.
We will have live music, refreshments, and various other activities after the Walk. For sponsorship inquiries, volunteer opportunities, or more details please contact event coordinator Eric Bailey at 912-346-4144 or by email at [email protected].

“Our mission is to make our community a better, more welcoming place for everyone of all backgrounds. We aim to help those in need by organizing events that bring everyone together for the sake of creativity and love,” said Eric Bailey, activist, author, and founder of Walk for Homelessness Savannah.
Eric Bailey is an activist, author, and founder of Walk for Homelessness Savannah. Eric wants to represent an idea that there is an inner light that lies within each and every one of us. The "light” being all the talents, abilities, ideas, muses, and potential for greatness that is locked within. Shining your light takes courage, bravery, risk, and at times mental toughness.
